Pare provided master planning, site\/civil services, permitting, and traffic engineering for the redevelopment of the historic 19.9-acre Bourne Mill complex in Tiverton, RI. The owner of this former textile mill (which was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places) redeveloped approximately 236,000 sq. ft. of the existing buildings and added 105,000 sq. ft. of new construction. More than 280 residential units were constructed, with 80 of the residential units being designated as affordable housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pare performed civil engineering design, comprehensive environmental permitting, and traffic studies to assess the impacts of the project on the surrounding roadway systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pare completed construction plans that included roadway and parking improvements, an innovative stormwater system design, full utility service design, and a 1.3 million gallon per day municipal pump station design. In addition, Pare assisted in documentation for USGBC LEED Silver certification and provided construction administration services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2019 Pare began Phase 3 of the project, providing geotechnical and site\/civil services for two new buildings to add a total of 89 more residential units.
