Pare Corporation was a member of the architectural design team selected by the University of Rhode Island to design a new $44 million, 429-bed, five-story undergraduate residence hall complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pare’s initial scope of services involved a site review of existing conditions, research of existing utilities, and geotechnical investigations. Pare then was responsible for designing roadway access to the site, utility plans, stormwater management\/drainage design, and grading plans. The stormwater management design incorporates a closed drainage system with on-site water quality structures and surface stormwater detention, through water quality swales, rain gardens or bioretention areas to obtain no net increase in the rate of runoff from the site. This supported the Gold LEED certification which the project achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
