Pare Corporation was retained by the Town of Bristol to provide engineering services for the design and construction of a universally accessible public boardwalk in Bristol, Rhode Island. The purpose of the project was to improve public access to the Bristol waterfront, connecting an existing park and marina south of the boardwalk to commercial real estate to the north while also restoring deteriorated waterfront infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Landside improvements converted overgrown and inaccessible portions of the site into open space. A new permeable paver pathway provides access through a grassed area between the boardwalk and a new reinforced concrete walkway atop an existing seawall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
