These frequently require widening of roadways, improvements to both horizontal and vertical alignments, construction of signalized intersections, traffic safety improvements, new storm drainage systems, and curbing and sidewalks. Streetscape improvements are incorporated within many urban town centers, providing improved aesthetics and pedestrian and vehicular safety.
