The goal of the project was to improve the roadways to accommodate the expansion of the existing Electric Boat Facility. The project involved major roadway upgrades to accommodate the anticipated extreme heavy loads of large, manufactured submarine sections requiring transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The infrastructure improvements included the upgrade of 4,400 feet of Roger Williams Way and adjacent intersecting roadways, drainage system improvements, and the replacement of all utilities.
