The purpose of the project was to restore the functioning capacity of the existing bulkhead while preserving the industrial character of the area and improving pedestrian access including installation of a sidewalk abutting the harbor, which was incorporated into the &#8220;Harbor Walk.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pare provided alternate designs\u2014presented in the form of a Design Basis Memorandum\u2014which included applicable design loadings, Building Code Requirements, permitting implications, and associated opinions of probable construction costs. For the selected alternative, Pare provided Contract Documents and bid-phase services.
