]]> Pare’s second ACEC-RI Engineering Excellence Award project was Old Tower Hill Road (Wakefield, RI), which won a 2nd Place Blue Ribbon Hope Award. Using ‘Complete Streets’ elements, Pare’s design significantly improved the circulation and safety of vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians in this busy commercial district. The stormwater treatment design, which includes 18 bioretention curb inlet planters, provides a low-impact development technique for treatment and infiltration at the source within limited right-of-way conditions, while beautifying a business district with much desired landscaping. The project also won a 2022 Stormy Award from the New England Water Works Association!
