2025 SNEAPA Conference

In addition to exhibiting at the 2025 Southern New England American Planning Association (SNEAPA) conference in Newport, RI, Pare was involved in two well-received presentations! Annelise Boylan, E.I.T. and Matthew Alford, P.E. organized a panel for the conference, engaging four professionals to share their experience working on Action Grant projects. Annelise moderated the panel to ensure each panelist’s perspective was touched upon and to engage questions from the audience. The panel was highly informative for everyone who attended. A big thank you to the four panelists – Arnold Robinson, Ed Tanner, Jessica Veysey Powell, and Anthony Hebert – for their participation and insights on Action Grant projects!

In addition, Lance Hill, P.E. spoke alongside the City of Pawtucket, RI and the Tidewater Landing development team about how the new Centreville Bank stadium is helping to reshape the City’s future. Since opening, the stadium has attracted over 100,000 visitors and has opened the potential for innovative partnerships and further economic growth. A big thank you to the presenters and City of Pawtucket staff – Bianca Policastro, Susan Mara, Jeanne Boyle, Emily Morse, Grace Brownell, Nina Peek, and Jason Pezzullo.

Stormwater Innovation Expo 2025

Pare was excited to take part in this year’s Stormwater Innovation Expo in Rhode Island! We learned a lot and had some great conversations. A special shoutout to Robert Sykes, P.E., who delivered an insightful presentation alongside Joseph D. Baker, P.E., PMP, PE from RIDOT. Their talk on RIDOT’s stormwater detention retrofit program showcased how reimagining traditional stormwater systems can create more attractive, low-maintenance designs that also improve water quality across the state.

Kudos to Bobby and Joe for sharing their expertise and helping move stormwater management toward a more sustainable future!

Ports ’25 Conference

Several Pare employees had a fun and educational four days attending the COPRI – Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute Ports ’25 Conference this year – held in Providence, RI! Todd Turcotte, manager of Pare’s Waterfront Group, and waterfront engineer JP Nanni, along with representatives from our design-build partner, Narragansett Dock Works, and the RI Department of Environmental Management, delivered a presentation on Tuesday. They talked about the construction of the rehabilitation of one of the largest commercial fishing ports on the East Coast while allowing port operations to continue during the year-round fishing season.

Stormwater Innovation Expo 2022

Pare was pleased to sponsor and exhibit at the 4th annual Rhode Island Stormwater Innovation Expo, sharing ideas about the latest stormwater technologies and funding, along with networking with the many communities and stakeholders working in the area of stormwater management. It is very exciting to see how far the field of green stormwater infrastructure design has come with the pending threat of climate change. We look forward to continued work with municipalities and state agencies on future stormwater design projects!
