Lincoln Middle School Field Ribbon-Cutting

Pare was happy to return to the Lincoln (RI) Middle School for a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the school’s new synthetic turf athletic field. Pare provided site selection and engineering design services for the Lincoln Middle School prior to its opening almost 20 years ago! It was gratifying to return to the school to prepare design plans to improve the condition of the existing natural grass field. Use of the existing field was inhibited due to settling and extended use. During the design process, the Town was able to secure funding to install a new synthetic turf athletic field. FieldTurf led the design of the new synthetic turf field, and Pare provided site/civil engineering, stormwater management design, wetland delineation, and freshwater wetlands permitting services. We look forward to seeing the community enjoy use of their new field for years to come. Go Lions!

2025 SNEAPA Conference

In addition to exhibiting at the 2025 Southern New England American Planning Association (SNEAPA) conference in Newport, RI, Pare was involved in two well-received presentations! Annelise Boylan, E.I.T. and Matthew Alford, P.E. organized a panel for the conference, engaging four professionals to share their experience working on Action Grant projects. Annelise moderated the panel to ensure each panelist’s perspective was touched upon and to engage questions from the audience. The panel was highly informative for everyone who attended. A big thank you to the four panelists – Arnold Robinson, Ed Tanner, Jessica Veysey Powell, and Anthony Hebert – for their participation and insights on Action Grant projects!

In addition, Lance Hill, P.E. spoke alongside the City of Pawtucket, RI and the Tidewater Landing development team about how the new Centreville Bank stadium is helping to reshape the City’s future. Since opening, the stadium has attracted over 100,000 visitors and has opened the potential for innovative partnerships and further economic growth. A big thank you to the presenters and City of Pawtucket staff – Bianca Policastro, Susan Mara, Jeanne Boyle, Emily Morse, Grace Brownell, Nina Peek, and Jason Pezzullo.

2025 Outstanding Corporation Recipient

This award is “presented to a Corporation or Foundation that has dedicated time and/or resources for the betterment of youth. Stormwater Innovation Expo 2025

Pare was excited to take part in this year’s Stormwater Innovation Expo in Rhode Island! We learned a lot and had some great conversations. A special shoutout to Robert Sykes, P.E., who delivered an insightful presentation alongside Joseph D. Baker, P.E., PMP, PE from RIDOT. Their talk on RIDOT’s stormwater detention retrofit program showcased how reimagining traditional stormwater systems can create more attractive, low-maintenance designs that also improve water quality across the state.

Kudos to Bobby and Joe for sharing their expertise and helping move stormwater management toward a more sustainable future!

Cass Park Community Learning Center Groundbreaking

Pare was proud to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cass Park Community Learning Center in Woonsocket, RI. Once completed, the 14,000-SF facility will offer education, job development, and health monitoring programs to the community. Pare worked alongside Rowse Architects and provided site/civil and structural engineering design services for the facility and is currently performing construction-phase services. We look forward to seeing this project progress forward!

Factory Pond Dam/Woodland Street

Pare recently wrapped up construction at Factory Pond Dam / Woodland Street in Holliston, MA. Following an emergency inspection in February 2023 that closed the roadway, Pare worked with the Town of Holliston and John Rocchio Corporation to rehabilitate the dam and bridge on an accelerated schedule so that the road could reopen before the school year. Pare supported every phase—design, permitting, bidding, and construction—and helped the Town secure and administer multiple grants that made the project possible.

The local Holliston Cable Access visited the site and interviewed Pare’s Bethany Murphy, EIT and Rocchio’s superintendent, Nicholas Mattiello, P.E. They talked about the process of working on the dam and getting it completed on schedule.

William S. Rogers High School Ribbon-Cutting

A well-deserved ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the opening of the new William S. Rogers High School in Newport, RI. Pare worked alongside The S/L/A/M Collaborative to design the state-of-the-art facility, which replaces a 1950s-era high school. The new 167,000-SF facility includes an auditorium, workshops, 21st-century art and science labs, and a variety of dedicated career and technical education spaces including a commercial-grade kitchen for culinary students and a student-run restaurant, Seaside Cafe, which will be open to the public.

During the design phase, Pare provided permitting, site/civil engineering, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, and traffic engineering services. During the early phases of the design, Pare and the team uncovered challenging site conditions including shallow rock, remnants from a previous military base, and an historic quarry. Pare investigated site conditions through geophysical subsurface investigations, test pits, borings, and Phase I/Phase II environmental site assessments and worked with the team to develop solutions to move the project forward. Pare is proud of its role helping to design this state-of-the-art educational facility for the high school students of Newport!

Mt. Hope High School Groundbreaking

Pare attended the Bristol Warren School District’s groundbreaking ceremony for the new $148 million Mt. Hope High School (MHHS) project in Bristol, RI. The ceremony was attended by local and state dignitaries, along with several students who will attend the new school once completed. From Pare’s design team, Aaron Myers and Annelise Boylan, E.I.T attended the ceremony – both of whom are proud MHHS alumni! Pare worked with the architect, Perkins Eastman, providing site/civil engineering, local/state permitting, and geotechnical engineering services to support the project. We look forward to helping the Bristol Warren Regional School District’s vision come to life during the next few years of construction!

Rhode Island Air National Guard’s Headquarters Ribbon-Cutting

Pare celebrated a very special ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Rhode Island Air National Guard’s Headquarters at the Quonset Point Air National Guard Base in North Kingstown, RI! Members of the Pare team joined the governor, the entire Rhode Island congressional delegation, state and town leaders, and National Guard leaders to unveil the new facility. The new headquarters, home to the 143rd Airlift Wing, is a state-of-the-art facility upgrade from the former 84-year-old building and provides modern office space, medical facilities, a recruiting office, and a dining facility.

Pare was part of an outstanding team including Vision 3 Architects, Quonset Development Corporation, KCM Group, and Gilbane Construction. The Pare team provided site/civil engineering, environmental permitting, structural engineering, and geotechnical engineering services for the project. We are proud of our contributions to give the 143rd Airlift Wing a headquarters facility that matches the service they provide for our country!

Independence Park Ribbon-Cutting

Several members of the Pare team attended the Independence Park ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of this unique waterfront recreation area in downtown Bristol. Situated at the terminus of the Pare-designed East Bay Bike Path, Pare has been supporting the Town of Bristol, RI on this project since 2012, including helping the Town secure funding from the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank. Pare’s services included waterfront engineering, site/civil engineering, traffic improvements, landscape improvements, stormwater design, and construction oversight. We are excited to see the park in full function for visitors to enjoy!

East Providence Community Center Groundbreaking

Members of the Pare team attended the groundbreaking for the $16 million, 19,500-SF East Providence Community Center along with City of East Providence Mayor’s Office and other dignitaries. This community center will provide services to the city’s residents such as recreational programming, job training, and health monitoring services. Pare worked closely with Starck Architects and provided site/civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, stormwater management design, traffic studies, water and sewer connection design, permitting services, and construction bid documents. We are excited to see construction under way for this exciting and transformative project!

Rosebrook Commons Topping-off Ceremony

Several Pare employees attended the topping off ceremony for Rosebrook Commons in Middletown, RI. Pare provided site/civil engineering, stormwater design, environmental site assessments, and geotechnical services as a subconsultant to Mesolella Development Corporation. Rosebrook Commons consists of 23,000 SF of commercial space and 144 housing units including mixed affordable housing units. This project aims at revitalizing Middletown’s commercial environment and addressing affordable housing, with at least 51 units that meet the state definition of affordable housing. Pare is proud to have been a part of this project and looks forward to seeing its completion!
